About Me

I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor offering online therapy and supervision across the UK. My work is relational at its core, offering a supportive and collaborative space for counselling and psychotherapy online.

Many people searching for an online therapist in the UK are looking for a flexible, accessible way to engage in meaningful therapy. Online sessions can offer exactly that, without losing depth, connection, or emotional presence.

My Journey to Becoming a Psychotherapist

My path into psychotherapy began in my early 30s following the sudden death of my best friend. In the midst of grief, I sought counselling, which had a profound and lasting impact on me. This eventually led me to volunteer on a national telephone counselling service in London.

For over twenty years, I worked as a complementary therapist specialising in Traditional Chinese Medicine and bodywork. This deepened my understanding of the connection between emotional experience and the body, particularly how anxiety, stress, and trauma are often held physically.

Alongside this, I became increasingly drawn to mindfulness, yoga, and psychotherapy. My own experience of relational therapy helped me feel more grounded, more connected, and more able to navigate life with clarity and self-awareness.

This led me to retrain as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist in the UK, grounded in relational and experiential approaches.

My Approach: Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy

I work as a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist, drawing primarily on:

  • Person-Centred Therapy

  • Gestalt Therapy

  • Psychodynamic understanding

  • Relational and embodied psychotherapy

My approach is rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, change, and deeper self-understanding when met in a genuine and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Research consistently shows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful outcomes in therapy, regardless of modality or setting. This relationship is central to my way of working.

How I Work in Online Therapy

As an online psychotherapist in the UK, I offer a relational and reflective space where we can explore what is happening for you in the present moment.

Online therapy allows the work to happen in your own environment, which many people find helps them feel more settled and able to engage openly.

Sessions are collaborative and responsive. We pay attention not only to what you are experiencing, but also to what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship.

This may include reflection, emotional exploration, humour, silence, curiosity, and challenge, whatever feels needed in the service of understanding yourself more fully.

Why People Choose Online Therapy in the UK

People often search for online counselling UK or online therapy UK because it offers:

  • accessibility from anywhere in the UK

  • flexibility around work and life

  • increased privacy and comfort

  • reduced travel and time pressure

  • access to the right therapist, not just a local one

Online therapy is now widely recognised as an effective and meaningful way of accessing psychotherapy, with research showing comparable outcomes to in-person therapy for many common issues.
