Acupuncture is an integral part of the system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and has been practiced in China for thousands of years.

It is based on the concept of balancing the body’s innate energy (Qi) to restore equilibrium and a sense of well being. Qi can become blocked or imbalanced for a number of reasons ranging from stress, physical trauma, illness, poor diet or through emotional upset.

Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of problems including:

  • Sports injuries

  • Aches & pains

  • Back, neck and shoulder pain

  • Knee and hip pain

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Stress, tension & depression

  • Anxiety

  • Insomnia

  • Digestive problems

  • Menstrual problems

  • Blood pressure

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FM)

Following a detailed consultation, fine sterile single-use needles are inserted into carefully selected acupuncture points. Needles may be combined with other techniques of Chinese Medicine, such as Acupressure Massage and Moxibustion, a technique whereby a herb is smouldered to bring warmth to an area. The acupuncture points used may be on the front or the back of the body and I will talk you through every step of the treatment.

  • Appointments £45 for up to 60-minutes
